THE BUILDING

No. 44 Friar Street was built around 1605, putting it at over 400 years old.

Our philosophy for the refurbishment, was to embrace the peculiarities of the building, rather than hide them.

A particular highlight is the drawings in the Arboretum Room, which date back to circa 1620

The new artwork on the walls is a celebration of British Trees and the new wood, we have added, is sourced from local sustainable forests

Our daytime menu aims to provide British classics from the most popular British Sandwiches and Toasties, Full English Breakfast, Freshly Battered Fish & Chips,  through to Scottish Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Rosti.

SPANISH TAPAS CLUB

We hold Spanish Tapas Evenings throughout the year. These private Events are only open to members of The Priory Mailing List and not to the general public. If you would like to receive notification of these events, simply go to our website priorycafe.com and join our mailing list.

Alternatively, we can host a private Tapas Party for groups of 20 or more for your special celebrations
